3 Easy DIY Back-To-School Natural Styles (Teen Edition)

Design Essentials had the pleasure of recently collaborating with YouTube influencer, Nia The Light, to bring you 3 easy back-to-school hairstyles using products from our DE Natural Collections. Check out the looks, enjoy the curly vibes, and feel the confidence as these young ladies explore the versatility of each natural style.

Bantu knots are dope because they can be worn several days as a natural style, then remixed into a bangin’ bantu knot out.

Watch as hair model, @GediLovee uses the Design Essentials Natural Almond & Avocado Twist & Set Setting Lotion, Curl Enhancing Mousse, and Detangling Leave-In Conditioner to create medium-sized bantu knots.

Once dried completely, she unravels the bantu knots, mists with Design Essentials Natural Coconut & Monoi Intense Shine Oil Mist for added shine and slays a voluminous bantu knot out!

STYLE #2:  DEFINED WASH & GO (Coily Texture)

A simple wash & go will have your type 4 curls poppin’ this semester with the right products and finger-comb technique!

Just watch as the beautiful, @MightyRoze softens and defines her coily textured hair with DE Natural Almond & Avocado Detangling Leave-In Conditioner and Coconut & Monoi Curl Defining Gelee. The results are flawless!

DE Tip: Want to achieve a frizz-free wash & go? After applying product do not touch your hair while it dries. Once dried completely, lift hair at the roots with a pick comb to create desired volume.

There’s absolutely nothing wrong with refreshing your second day hair into a curly updo. Especially if you’re bold enough to rock a little hair bling!

Curly enthusiast, @Domi_Anne demonstrates how she hydrates her curls with Coconut & Monoi Coconut Water Curl Refresher before smoothing her nape and edges into an easy updo with the help of DE Natural Honey Curl Forming Custard and Honey & Shea Edge Tamer.

To complete the look, she adds a few gold hair accessories to her curly updo – and we love it!
